It was an emotional third victory for Michael Matthews (Jayco-AlUla) on the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec, with the Australian dedicating the win to his grandmother, who handed away within the week earlier than the race. 

A beaming Matthews held up three fingers over the end line after securing one other victory in Québec with a brutal, grinding dash launched on the 300 metres to go mark, however was in a reflective mind set as he pointed to the sky on the rostrum.
